New Title of Speech
You can tell I must have been tired when I came up with the title of the speech I'm working on, as I totally missed some good aliteration. The new title of the speech is "Silencing the Screams of the Soul: From Madness to Recovery in Schizophrenia." I like that version of the title much better.
I was just planning on posting the outline of my speech for people to see, but now that I look it over I see that it isn't exactly correct. I'm going to rework it now, and I will post it very soon. My motivation for this particular speech is to show that recovery from schizophrenia is possible (yeah, but what do I mean by recovery, since there is no cure? -TBA), all because when I was first diagnosed no one believably showed me that recovery was possible, and as a result I became quite suicidal. The purpose of the speech is to educate on the inner experience of schizophrenia, as well as to inspire hope. I think I will write it so it is about forty-five minutes to an hour long. That doesn't sound too bad. I'll reveal the outline as I complete it.
